My Little Athlete

This review was made possible by Double Duty Divas and Pampers. I was provided the featured product free of charge to facilitate my review, but all opinions are 100% mine.

I’m all about honesty right now so I’ll tell you that while other people were concerned with having a healthy baby while pregnant, I asked myself more than once, what if our baby isn’t athletic. You see, my family is just naturally athletic and sports have always been a huge part of our family. So having a child who isn’t athletic and into sports just seemed unthinkable to me. Obviously, it’s not really that big of a deal but it definitely crossed my mind a few times and yeah sports and being active are important in our family. That’s pretty apparent by the number of balls that K has. Too bad all he wants to do these days is eat them.

And eat them.

When he isn’t eating every ball he owns, he does love to watch sports on TV. I think it’s the sound and movement that catches his attention, which means that he is fascinated by the Sochi Winter Olympics going on right now. We’ve been watching them together as a family and he will just sit there, staring at the TV, as long as there is some sort of sport going on.
To celebrate the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games, Pampers is celebrating all athletes, even the littlest ones like K, with their new Big Dreams of Little Athletes campaign. They have partnered with two Team USA Olympic athletes, Noelle Pikus Pace and David Wise to celebrate little athletes and their game faces throughout the Winter Games. Parents can submit their little athlete’s best game faces on the Pampers Facebook page to enter to win the grand-prize of a photo shoot with Olympic free-style skier David Wise.
I tried to get K to give me a good game face by surrounding him with every ball I could find. And guess what he did? You got it, ate them. So here you go friends, here are K’s best game faces. I sure love my little athlete.
We also love our Pampers. We’ve used them since the nurse put K’s first diaper on him in the hospital and continue to love them as he gets bigger. Any of you moms and dads out there know that a diaper that holds a ton is key to a good night sleep, and a good night sleep is key to a happy baby and a happy family. Pampers offer 12 hours of overnight protection for babies and since K typically sleeps for 12 hours straight overnight, Pampers are our choice for this happy baby.
To help celebrate their campaign, Pampers is going to give one of my lucky readers a prize pack of items to help your little athlete dream big:
  • Mini sports bag
  • Sports-themed baby blanket
  • Sports photo frame
  • Sound sleep machine
  • 2 Packs of Pampers Baby Dry Diapers and 2 Packs of Pampers Wipes
To enter, simply fill out the Rafflecopter form below. And don’t forget to go over and submit your little athlete’s best game face for your chance to win the photo shoot with David Wise. Giveaway is open to US residents only and ends on Monday, February 17th at 11:59 PM EST.

We thought about that before little J was born, too! Sports are huge in my husband’s family. For Christmas this year we bought him a little basketball hoop so he can learn early! And Pampers are our favorite diapers, too. We seriously don’t put anything else on our little boy. I would have to say my favorite Olympic sport is figure skating, because I am always amazed by how graceful they can look after spinning around in the air and on the ice a million times!
